Sarah with Pedro
Hello my name is Sarah, I was born in Ontario, Canada and brought up in Llandudno. From an early age I knew I wanted to be a vet and consequently went to the University of Liverpool and graduated in 2004. My main interests lie in emergency medicine and geriatric medicine. I have worked in the Llandudno area for the last 7 years and further a field as a locum before that and also in January 2012 I volunteered at Romanian Underdogs Rescue which is something I hope to repeat.
Aside from being a veterinary sugeon, I am also a member of British Veterinary and Sports Medicine Association (BVRSMA) and the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists (ABVA). I am also a qualified hydrotherapist.
I now live with my husband Lee, five rescue cats Fidget, Salty, Zippy, Loki and Grunt along with rescue dogs Pedro (pictured above) and ‘Baked Potato’ Bert, they all feature on this web-site somewhere.
When I’m not working as a vet (ha ha!) I enjoy walking the dogs (see here for our doggie friendly recommendations and walks), travelling, cooking, growing my own veggies and hope to rehome some rescue chickens in the future.
Hi, my name’s Lowri and I’ve been at Mochdre Vets since April 2018. I graduated from the University of Glasgow Vet School in 2002. After graduating I spent a number of years in busy trauma hospitals in Birmingham, which I loved. My main interest lies in soft tissue surgery. I’ve worked the last seven years in small animal practice in North Wales, which is where I’m from originally and I’m a fluent Welsh speaker.
I enjoy keeping fit with regular Pilates, gym sessions and I’ve started training with a local women’s football club which is great fun! My young daughter keeps me busy too and our family cat Princess is an adorable and entertaining feline!
Hola everybody! My name is Diana and I am originally from Spain. I got my Bachelor’s Degree is Veterinary Medicine in 2015 from The CEU Cardenal Herrera University of Valencia, Spain. Since then I have been travelling around visiting beautiful places. I came to the UK on November 2017 and started working at a small animal practice in Cardiff in which I gave my first steps and enjoyed learning about exotic animal medicine. I have been working at Mochdre Vets since December 2018 and I have been enjoying the experience so far.
My interests within the veterinary field include Internal Medicine, Opthalmology and Nutrition. My hobbies are dancing Salsa and Bachata, trekking and exploring new places so I can’t wait to walk those delightful trekking tracks within The Snowdonia National Park!

Hello my name is Tim and I’m a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Mochdre Vets. I started nursing in 2012 and qualified in 2019. I have a keen interest in physiotherapy and orthopaedic surgery.
I live with my fiance Leigh, our two young children and a clowder of cats. But I also help with the rescue centre which has birds of prey, rabbits, chickens, ducks, horses, dogs and cats as permanent residents plus the weird and wonderful wildlife that passes through.

Hayley with Hansel
Hello, my name is Hayley. I moved to North Wales with my partner and our two daughters in May 2018.
I am a qualified small animal hydrotherapist and for the previous 5 years I have successfully managed and run a hydrotherapy centre in West Sussex. We chose to move to North Wales earlier this year when we came across a stunning 1750’s cottage nestled on the mountain side above Dwygyfylchi. We have brought with us our three Hungarian Vizlas, a very grumpy 14 year old Terrier, 2 Call Ducks, 2 rabbits and 2 hamsters. And since being here, we now also have 2 foals, named Merlin and Ddraig.
I am passionate about working with dogs and I am always looking to further develop my knowledge and understanding of small animal rehabilitation. I love my job, I get great satisfaction of seeing the benefit of my work to both patient and client which is hugely rewarding.

Hi my name is Lauren. I am a trainee veterinary nurse here at Mochdre Vets. I have recently left the British Army after spending 3 years in Germany as a dog handler.
